Foundry in transition

As you will recognize some changes in the personality of the Foundry's coming blogposts, you would sense the changes in the organization of the place as well, from now on. We, the new stewards of the Foundry, with the active support of Dennis have already been prepared for some months and now, since the yearly general assembly started working with fresh momentum to let this place grow and thrive vigorously, and care for its openness and diversity at the same time.

As a poetic way of introducing ourselves we would like to share with you our intentions, that we expressed at the end of the general assembly in a ritual moment. We took a fallen eucalyptus log that symbolized the Foundry and drilled shiitake mycelium in it, which symbolized our intentions for the wellbeing of the project. We have merged our ideas with regenerative hands-on action, something we are willing to practice during our co-organization as well.

Here are our intentions:

"May the foundry spread spores that carry the seeds of the same quality as what’s happening the Foundry to other receptive places" (Gijs)

"Nurture the imagination for new possibilities in our body and land" (Aurora)

"That we keep our minds in our hearts as we get to know each other and learn how to work together" (Sudha)

"Let Foundry be part of the webbing of freedom for individuals and the collective" (Suma)

"Contribute to the 100 years duration of this project" (Victor)

"Get people looking and climbing into the trees, to realise that we are nature and realise we need to treat ourselves with love" (Lili)

"The Foundry to be a safe space but also a brave space" (Dennis)

"For the Foundry to be a new front in the return of the Spanish revolution" (Siddique)

"For diversity on all levels, celebrating the queerness of diversity, embodying, performing and playing it out with all the locals, all the guests, all neighbours and all travellers" (Csilla)

Como reconoceréis algunos cambios en el tono de los próximos blogposts de la Fundición, también percibiréis los cambios en la organización del lugar, a partir de ahora. Nosotros, los nuevos administradores de la Fundición, con el apoyo activo de Dennis, ya hemos estado preparados durante algunos meses y ahora, desde la asamblea general anual, empezamos a trabajar con un nuevo impulso para que este lugar crezca y prospere vigorosamente, y cuide su apertura y diversidad al mismo tiempo.

Como una forma poética de presentarnos nos gustaría compartir con vosotros nuestras intenciones, que expresamos al final de la asamblea general en un momento ritual. Cogimos un tronco de eucalipto caído que simbolizaba la Fundición y taladramos en él micelio de shiitake, que simbolizaba nuestras intenciones para el bienestar del proyecto. Hemos fusionado nuestras ideas con la acción práctica regenerativa, algo que estamos dispuestos a practicar también durante nuestra coorganización.

Aquí vienen nuestras intenciones:

"Que la fundición esparza esporas que lleven las semillas de la misma calidad que lo que está ocurriendo la Fundición a otros lugares receptivos" (Gijs)

"Que alimentemos la imaginación de nuevas posibilidades en nuestro cuerpo y en nuestra tierra" (Aurora)

"Que mantengamos la mente en el corazón mientras nos conocemos y aprendemos a trabajar juntos" (Sudha)

"Que Foundry forme parte del entramado de la libertad individual y colectiva" (Suma)

"Contribuir a los 100 años de duración de este proyecto" (Victor)

"Hacer que la gente mire y se suba a los árboles, que se dé cuenta de que somos naturaleza y de que tenemos que tratarnos con amor" (Lili)

"Que la Fundición sea un espacio seguro, pero también valiente" (Dennis)

"Para que la Fundición sea un nuevo frente en el retorno de la revolución española" (Siddique)

"Por la diversidad a todos los niveles, celebrando la diversidad, encarnándola, representándola y poniéndola en juego con todos los habitantes, todos los invitados, todos los vecinos y todos los viajeros" (Csilla)
